JAWSH SMYTH – Graphic Man
This portfolio site represents
10+ years of experience and craft as an art director, graphic
designer and illustrator.
I am dedicated to creating high
quality design
and compelling images for the arts, music,
entertainment, fashion, non-profit and eco-friendly causes. I have worked
in Los Angeles for 11 years, graduated from UCLA's distinguished
Design Department in 2000, and since then created high-quality
work for House of Blues, United Way, and FIJI Water, to name
a few. I am a holistic designer, able to create consistent branding for ads,
publications, packaging, apparel, events, and displays.
I have a solid grip on motion graphics for commercials and
broadcast design, and I am currently focusing on interactive
design. I stand out from other designers in my ability to create
premium products with a personal touch. I often incorporate hand-made
elements into my work, such as original drawings, paintings,
and photography. The interplay of digital and traditional media
can often produce fresh, whimsical and striking results. (And
yes, I turned my face into a logo. What can I say, I'm a man of the
graphic. Side note: My brother, in an act of utter coolness and family loyalty,
even tattoed the face onto his arm.)
